This month we have been fortunate to have two free models. The first, a Yak-17 from Nobi at Thai Paperworks, is a beautiful rendering of early Russian jet aircraft. Nobi has graced my shelves with several new offerings in the past few months, with one of my favorite being his "Baby Migs". If you haven't seen them, you need to.

Our second offering, a 1:100 scale Tiger II from Erik Johnson, comes to us from the War Gaming side of card modeling. According to Erik:
The Tiger II is the first of an extensive line of 1:100 scale armor geared to the tabletop wargamer. The emphasis will be on ease of construction, since the goal is to have a completed model, not an exercise in intricate construction. Tanks will be part of a printed campaign package composed of compatible vehicles of one combatant. Examples would be "Germany- Early Afrika Korps" and "Allies- Early Desert War". Distribution will be via one or more of the retailers that already offer us commercial card model kits. Cost hasn't been established yet, but total mahem on the tabletop will be pretty cheap. My line will be under the heading of: "Paper Panzers (spreading weapons of miniature destruction)." I'll offer a free one from time to time like with the Tiger II.
