Franz Holzeder
Krabbenkutter (Crabfisher)(Mini-Modell Nr.M1)

This small model is only 7 cm long and is with 112 parts easy to build,
but because of its small size and the thin mast it is more realistic to categorize
it as a medium difficulty build.
I have built the model, with outadding details, according to the instructions
of the kit.. Only the main mast and the yards are strengthen with wire. The
nets I made out of a photo etch part from the company Saemann (Lattice 0.4 x
0.4/Item # 3116). It is important that the nets are cut out diagonal, so the
lines do not run horizontal. I used fine copper wire from an electric cable,
because it has more strength. The floats are glue drops (Wiccol) which I applied
several time with the tip of a needle. For the rigging I used sewing material
from the chirugy.
This Mini model I will build one more time, but this time with open nets for shrimps fishing. For this model I will choose the "Toen 10" with the red hull.
