This is the 1:50th scale model of the F-86E by the Japanese company P-Model. What amazed me about it is the fact that the model uses no formers whatsoever. In my experience it is very difficult to get the correct fuselage shape without formers. There are only a few designers who can create models with the kind of precision that lets the external parts give a model the correct shape. As you can see in the pictures below, the designer of this series of models has the required expertise. I did cheat a little; I used a small dowel in the wing and flat toothpicks in the tail section for strength and shape.
