Model Building Contest

The Cardmodelers Online Magazine is sponsoring a building contest for card models. All types of card models are eligible in the contest. The contest will be divided into three parts, Entry Level, Intermediate Level and Expert Level models. The judges will be the editors of the magazine and a prize consisting of a card model will be awarded in each area. Below are the rules and some suggestions for entering the contest:

Rules:
1. Contest will run from August 1st until October 1st.
2. There will be one winner from the Entry Level, Intermediate Level and Expert Level. This means that there will be three prizes offered for the contest. The judges will look at models from all of the areas of card modeling and chose what they consider the best in each of the levels mentioned above, not in each area.
3. Contestants will only be allowed one entry in each contest period.
4. Staff of the magazine will not be eligable for the contest.
5. Winners will not be allowed to enter another build contest for a period of one year.
6. In order to enter the contest the following pictures in JPEG format must be submitted:
     A. Picture of the model kit before construction was started.
     B. Six pictures of the completed model, front, back, both sides, top and bottom.
     C. Pictures should be sent to saulj@teuton.org
7. Judges will be final determination of what class the model is entered in.

Suggestions:
1. A minimum of seven pictures is required but that is not the limit. The more pictures you send the better the judges will be able to rank your model.
2. While a write up about the model is not required, doing one will, again, help the judges in ranking your model.
3. Pictures of the completed model are the only pictures required. Pictures of the model in process of construction will help.

Here are some of the ways the judges will determine in which catogory your model will go in. Remember that these are only guidlines, the judges have final say on what catagory the model goes in.
