This has been a very exciting month for the Card Modelers Online magazine. We finally have our own address, cardmodelers.org. The Web site, mailing list and the Online magazine are now located at the new address. We received our first shipment of card models from Poland to use for reviews in the magazine. In the "First Looks" column you will notice that the types of models now include new areas that we have not been able to review before.
All of this is due to the generosity of the readers of this magazine. This month we have received monetary and model donations to the magazine. We have put some of the models up for sale that were donated and those that we have already reviewed in the "First Looks" column. We have raised enough money from the sale of these models to purchase the cardmodelers.org address for a period of two years. We have been able to purchase models that we have not been previously been able to get for review.
What we wanted to do was to improve the coverage of the magazine without being forced to charge a subscription fee or put ads in the magazine. If things continue the way they have been going we should be able to continue to be able to review all the different areas of card modeling. We should be able to review those expensive models that we were not able to get before. We will be able to keep paying for our address. If things continue on as they have been you will see several improvements in the magazine over the next few months.
So thanks to all of you who have been kind enough to either send models to the magazine or have purchased those models. Remember all donations or sales made from the magazine or we site will go back into the magazine.
